A press down on the metal bar behind the seat raises and lowers the chair. Metal wheels roll smoothly. The chair is 39" high to top of the back, top of arms is 29.5" above the floor, perfect for fitting snugly next to a table. The seat is 23" above the floor and has a foot rest for comfort. When in the stroller position, the push hand bar is 31" above the ground. I recommend shipping this via Greyhound bus package express. You would pick it up at your local bus station.
