ON SALE!!! A lovely affordable early San Francisco $5 GOLD half Eagle with a reddish hue. Graded in an early NGC slab as MS-61. A couple contact marks on the chin, otherwise the face is lovely and 'unabused'. Many of these $5 Half Eagles took quite a beating and have more noticeable dings and bag marks on the face. This one was spared most of that. There is a little glue residue on the plastic slab(not the coin!) above and right of the obverse, as well as a strip of residue on the reverse below the NGC hologram seal.
