Antique Crow Indian Large Cowrie Shell & Glass Trade Bead Necklace - $135 - (Coulee Dam, WA)

Beautiful, antique, Crow Indian, glass trade bead & Cowrie shell necklace. The Cowrie shell on this necklace is one of the largest I've ever seen. This necklace has been in my family for several generations & I was told that the Cowrie shell was a trade item obtained from an Ojibwa Indian a very long time ago. It's strung on either a thick cotton or maybe flax cord. It's in excellent condition & the cord is still strong. All of the beads are free of cracks or other defects. It's been well taken care of. The beads are greasy powder blue, transparent & translucent cobalt & faceted black glass beads separate each color section.  Measurements: approximate length is 28 inches or 71.12 cm total length.
