Vintage Mid Century Team Guzzini Lucite Pelican, Italy - $99 - (Bloomington, IN)

Here is one of the rarer of the famed Lucite animals created by Italy’s Team Guzzini. This is a delightful pelican designed by Tim S. Crea, whose name is etched into one of the two ‘feet’ of the pelican. The bird is fashioned from a thick sheet of PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate), also known as acrylic glass and trade names Lucite and Plexiglass. The pelican stands 8 inches tall and is in very good condition. There are no discernible faults save a very light scratch or two, which require close examination to find, and some surface friction wear on the bottoms of the feet.
