It also made Apple ll copy programs. Through a series of mergers, the company was ultimately acquired by Symantec in 1994. This version of Central Point Backup for DOS includes a TSR scheduling program, Central Point Scheduler. Other features include express and standard interfaces, three user interface levels -- beginner, intermediate, and advanced, support for QIC tape drives, 360K, 720K, 1.2MB, 1.44MB floppy drives, save named backup sets, full, incremental, differential, full copy, seperate incremental backup types, virus detection, virus scan only, choose directories, reporting, compression, verification, error correction, history, overwrite warning, low (DOS compatible), medium, high speed DMA backup, on-line help, and more. This version also includes Central Point Backup 1.0 for Windows. It is installed from the DOS installation program and has many of the same features as the DOS version. It uses the DOS version's express interface style. Central Point Scheduler for Windows 1.0 is also included. The Windows version install files reside on a 5¼" high-density 1.2MB floppy disk while the DOS version installation files reside on four 5¼" 360K disks. This version was released on four 360K and one 1.2MB floppies. Total install size: 2.22MB Plastic wrap has a rip on top - please see photos.
