What you are looking at is what was to be Leedy timbales. In the 1939 into the 40's Charles Tappan created these timbales and were sold at the Henry Adler store in New York. The problem with these timbales that Henry Adler could not keep up with its sales and the manufacturing of the timbales since they were hand made by Charles Tappan in the store, that he rented out the manufacturing aspect to The Leedy Drum company with in turn was pick up by The Conn music company and it became the biggest success in the world of timbales.You see photo of Humberto Morales playing one of these sets which came with Radio King Parts.
