A Fine French Antique Gilt Bronze Napoleon III Mantle Clock - $9,996 - (Tonawanda, NY)

What we have here is a Heavily Gold Gilt Japy Freres Bronze French Victorian Clock Circa 1850. Stands just about 18" tall and 10" wide. An absolute stunning one of a kind clock. This would be a Rococo, Ormolu Style Clock with figural Eagles perched on the top as a finial. The movement reads Bourdin Horloger Du Roi which in English means Watchmaker Bourdin of the King. Rue De La Paix 2 t translated means street of the peace 2 t. Has the Japy Freres Medaille D' Or Brevetes (Gold Medal Patented Seal Logo). Movement runs and sounds a delicate chime as it should. Case is in Very good condition!! Absolutely amazing clock.
