Kurzweil K2500 K2500X K2500R upgrade PLD - 340CTLV9 / 340CTL V9 - $20 - (Ennismore, ON)

I am selling this Kurzweil update PLD for the K2500, K2500X and K2500R. This update is crucial to the proper operation of your Kurzweil K2500, K2500X and K2500R, and is mandatory if the KDFX option is installed. Each update set consists of (1) PLD: 340CTLV9 - CPU control chip version 9 . note: older or faulty versions of these can cause lockups and the dreaded blue screen lockup on startup, and undesired "pauses" or "delays" while using. Also, the KDFX option will not work properly without this CPU control chip update. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell which version control chip you have in your K2500/R except to open it up and have a look. (only open it up if you are experienced). The 340CTLV9 is located on the CPU board (sometimes called the engine daughterboard). Included : (1) 340CTLV9 - CPU control chip for all versions of Kurzweil K2500 and K2500R I would suggest a knowledgeable technican install this chip since a special tool is needed to extract the old one from it's socket. There is no soldering involved, but improper insertion of this chip could cause serious damage to your Kurzweil K2500/R. Note: I can not be held responsible for damages to your Kurzweil K2500/R for the improper replacement of this update chip.
