Absolutely lovely wooden box made in Poland. The lid is hand carved with this beautiful image of a bearded peasant or holy man holding a staff carrying a large bundle of sticks or harvest on his back. Very skilled carving! The box measures 3 7/8 inches by 3 7/8 inches by 1 1/2 inches. The box is hinged. Box interior is lined with wood and measures 3 inches by 3 inches by 1 inch. Great keepsake box for rings, rosary, or earrings. Condition: Very good. Very minimal handling. Base has a "made in Poland" sticker, small sticker with numbers and a couple areas of former stickers.
