Antique Steiff Teddy Bear - $450 - (Summit, NJ)

This beautiful antique Steiff bear is the quintissential teddy, with an expression and demeanor both as loving and as loved as any teddy bear you'll ever see.His rich golden mohair fur is worn thin in some spots, particularly around his seams, some of which seem to have been restitched over the years. Please see the photos for more detail. His arms and legs swivel, and he has padded paws and the four lines of stitching on each paw suggesting his toes.He's missing his button and any tags he might have had, so determining this handsome teddy's exact vintage is difficult, but his original "shoe button" type eyes suggest he could very well have been made prior to 1910.He measures 16" long and 12" at his widest.
