RARE Antique JOAO PEROTTI (Lenci Designer) Felt Doll, All Original and GORGEOUS! - $695 - (Muskegon, MI)
For your consideration is this absolutely fabulous, beautiful, and RARE antique doll! Her designer was JOAO PEROTTI. She is all cloth and felt in her beautiful original attire. Perotti was one of LENCI's top designers who left the Italian company and moved to Brazil sometime in the 1920's and started his own doll company. This is a fine example of his work. She wears an exquisite felt and cloth dress and shoes with wood heels, and has a basket of fruit on her head. She is 16 inches tall. There is a small hole on her elbow as pictured and a tiny hole in her shaw. Her festive dress is adorned with felt flowers and she wears her original jewelry. Her entire body is stuffed felt with no holes or stains or tears. Hair is set in original style and she has cute flirty eyes. I HAVE CHOSEN TO KEEP THE DOLL ORIGINAL...as she retains very good colors, and is free from odors. She is in excellent condition, with minimal ware as expected for a doll of this age. She is a magnificent doll to add to any cloth or felt doll collection and is ready to display! I INCLUDED AN ARTICLE FEATURED IN THE DOLL COLLECTORS MAGAZINE ISSUED IN 1994.
