Architectural Fluted Columns: Two Large Wood 8'H/9"Diam Shafts and 20"-24"Caps - $495 - (Alma, GA)
For sale are two large wooden architectural columns. Both fluted shafts are the same 9" diameter and have two different capitals. One is of the Corinthian Order and the other is a different Classical Design, ("Temple of the Winds?"), with Acanthus Leafs. They are about 8' feet tall each with caps and the Corinthian cap is 20" x 20" wide and the other has a round 24" diameter. They are painted. These are used and came from a religious theme park near Orlando Florida.Both are in good used condition. They could be refinished with either stain or paint. Each weighs about 50 lbs. You could also attach the acanthus leaf capital to the bottom of the shaft with the Corinthian capital as its base to form a complete single column, and then you could saw that complete single column down the center from top to bottom to create two magnificent individual pilasters. This sale is for both columns. The buyer gets two column shafts and two different column capitals. I will not sell them individually. The cost of the single wooden Corinthian Capital alone would be well over twice what I'm asking for both columns and capitals. There are no bases as these were removed from a wooden entry base. These are being sold in good vintage condition with slight scratches and a chip on one acanthus leaf. There are resin bases usually for sale here on eBay that would fit these shafts and they are inexpensive.
