Fine Early 19thc German Grodnertahl Wooden Lady Doll - $10,000 - (Diamondville, WY)

This is a fine early German Grodnertahl wooden doll from my personal collection in an unusual size. She has a finely carved face, with handpainted detailing at the edges of her hairline, and carved ears. Her brown eyes have painted detail in her pupils and she has upper painted lashes. She strands a little over 22" tall. Her wooden body is jointed at the shoulders and elbows, hips and knees, so she is very posable. Her dress, which is handsewn, may not be original but was made of antique fabrics in the proper style for her time, is sewn on....and I don't want to destroy it to photograph the body. If this is important to a serious buyer, message me and I can try to take photos around it. She has pantalets and a half slip. Of course, as with all these early dolls, her finish shows her age, and there is wear particularly on the tip of her nose.- and I think her right side cheek painting has been retouched some years ago, but I have taken many photos so this can be inspected and can provide more if desired. Her right side foot has been reglued and she is missing one earring. She wears a lovely white cotton cap and dramatic woven bonnet lined to match her dress. My asking price is exactly what I paid for her, but I will consider a reasonable offer.
