This is a beautiful antique American Tall Case Clock. Made by Ephraim and Charles Clark circa 1806-1811. The style is Federal/Sheraton. Marked on the hand painted face of the clock is EPH & CHAS CLARKS and Philadelphia. It is joined mahogany. The arched portion shows two hemispheres of the world and behind is a rotating dial showing the phases of the moon. There is a key block in the center upon which rests an eagle with spread wings.
