Mary Frances, sculted by Mary Van Osdell, is a portrait of the artist as a child of the 1940's. A happy child, her face is frozen in a wonderful big smile showing a mouth full of little teeth. She wears her crisp little white pinafore over her maize colored cotton dress. She is carrying her rag doll (which she no longer has) that she takes everywhere with her. Her blond, straight hairdo is pulled back by a large, matching maize bow. She is a little prissy as can be noted by the graceful pose of her left hand. (This sweet child still thinks she wants to be a tap dancer when she grows up.) She stands 22" tall and is made of the finest quality porcelain.
