Vintage Madison Farm Silo Weathervane Wind Directional Vane Lightning Rod c1940 - $250 - (Massena, NY)

This sale is for a used weather-vane that serves as an advertisement for Madison brand silos. "Madison" is spelled out on bar and a pointer arrow completes the vane. The aluminum body has been exposed to the elements but is in undamaged condition and still has traces of the original red paint. It is 6.5 inches high & 41 inches in length. It was at the farm whose silo was created by "Madison". It seems to pivot in the wind on a lightning rod tip and has been totally unbroken or un-bent. I believe that it was made during the 1940s but it is guaranteed vintage none the less.
