You are bidding on a one of a kind copy of David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. This copy was screen used in the critically acclaimed HBO series, Boardwalk Empire. It was purchased by me in the ScreenBid Boardwalk Empire auction in January, 2015. It was featured in Episode 2 of Season 2. Chalky’s wife brought the book to him while he was waiting to get out of jail. An inmate that doesn’t think too much of Chalky rips the book out of his hand. Chalky then gets the other prisoners, who owe him a favor or two, to beat the man up. In the process, a bit of the man’s blood is splattered on the book.
