Rare , Unpublished General George Armstrong Custer CDV By John Goldin Co. - $3,500 - (Lead, SD)

Hello, Offered is an Extremely Rare, Unique, Original, Unpublished, CDV of General George Armstrong Custer , taken by the original photographer John Goldin at his Studio in Washington , DC. in May of 1865, While The General was there to attend the Grand Review of the Army. It is a similar style shoulders up portrait proof like the K39 image which I sold previously. This is the only example of this image Known to exist and the fact that it is in private hands makes it even rarer as most of these images were donated to military institutes by Libby Custer during her lifetime. This is a portrait image of the K67 image which is in the U.S. Army Military History Institute. The general would have personally inspected this proof image and surely held it in his own hands. The last 4 images I have show the K66,K67,K68 and K69 images from this sitting, they are not included in the sale and are for reference only. The only other images from this sitting in private hands were the K68 image which I sold to Katz and which is in his Book Custer in Photographs and a variation of the K68image which I sold previously ! The image is on the standard John Goldin CDV card which measures 2 3/8 inches x 3 3/4 inches and has his studio stamp on the verso. This is your chance to obtain the only known example of this Image, It will be the centerpiece of any Custer Collection. This image comes with an unconditional return policy as long as any return is within 10 days of receipt of the image. All sales are final on international sales. I have a lot of deals going on every day so dont be afraid to make an offer , I might just take it depending on whats going on !!! I give serious consideration to any offer sent!!!
