1795 FLOWING HAIR S$1 XF40 - $16,000 - (Jupiter, FL)

Census ONLY 76 of these rare beauties exist. A little over 160,000 were minted, so where are they?A fellow named Robert Scot designed both sides. The silver is 0.8920 fineWeight is 26.9600 Grams, That's only about $13 worth of actual silver. egadsIt, by the way has a lettered edge and this year, (last year now) is a lettered edge American Silver Eagle for the 30th Anniversary. Pretty neat huh? There are no current upcoming auctions for this coin either. rarely comes up. XF Price is $15000, so the 40 will command slightly more. Total graded (in all grades) 1220. Average grade is 40, so this one is RIGHT in the middle. Highest is MS66 and they only go for about a little over a million bucks. I recommend you go to the Heritage Auction site for deep information on the history of this coin, but it is available on many sites and I don't want to steal their thunder, (nor be arrested for plagiarism. ) Although, if you steal from only one source it's plagiarism, if you steal from more than one, (many is best) its research. LOL Well, have fun in your treasure hunting, I do. Capt. Brian Bid early and bid often. kinda like voting in Chicago huh? haha
