William Scarlett Britannia Standard Hanoverian Rat-tail Tablespoon, London c1710 - $79 - (Plymouth, MA)

A lovely Hanoverian Britannia standard rat-tail silver tablespoon made in London in 1710 or 1711 by the silversmith William Scarlett. The marks, though rubbed, are all legible, though the date letter could be one of two consecutive years. There is a set of wedding initials engraved to the handle (see photographs). L: 8in/20cm; W: 51g.
