Both will turn on and produce static, but their ability to transmit has not been tested. They have some cosmetic wear from use, and the box has some storage wear. Realistic 21-1638- The antenna is good, and the battery compartment is clean. It runs off 10 AA batteries, which are not included, or a 12 volt adapter which is also not included.
