Anthropomorphic DeForest of California Relish Condiment Jar, Onion Face - $108 - (Park City, MT)

Hard-to-find, Deforest of California "Relish" anthropomorphic condiment jar. Jar is in very good condition with the exception that the inside lid spoon slot has a chip missing. This is hard to see when the lid is in place (see last two photo for a close-up). No other chips or cracks. Does have clean crazing which is normal for vintage California pottery. Approximate height is 5" tall by 4" diameter. I have also included a photo from Walter Dworkin's, 2007 Price Guide to Holt-Howard Collectibles and related ceramic ware of the 50s & 60s. These condiment jars sometimes came with a green lid instead of brown, but I wanted to show that the correct face is with the correct lid since they are often mixed up. Non-smoking home.
