Grueby Pottery matte green lamp base with bulbous leaf top Arts & Crafts Boston - $3,695 - (Boston, MA)

Here is a beautiful and rare Grueby Pottery candlestick form lamp base. The bulbous top has overlapping leaves with stem like grooves running down the sides to the rolled edge of the flared foot. It is covered in a thickly curdled matte green glaze. It is in great condition with no chips,cracks, repairs or firing flaws, just a notch cut into the foot for the cord (after manufacture). Lamp parts are included. Unmarked. It measures 12 inches tall and 7 1/4 inches in diameter at the base. An unusual form from the quintessential Arts & Crafts New England art pottery.
