Hello ! Up for sale is a super-cool tube preamp and multi-processor by Bellari...the RP533 ! As stated, there are preamp tubes that do a great job of warming up any signal. And this unit IS a multi-function box! In addition to being a tube preamp, this processor has other, versatile uses. It has an onboard compressor, with a host of controls that can be seen on premium floor and rackmount processors....threshold, ratio,attack and release!!!! It also has what is called an exciter, which I can best describe as comparable to the Sonic Maximizer units that are made by BBE, and the Aural Exciters made by Aphex. It can boost your bass frequencies. But it can also increase your treble frequencies and add some brightness....overall, what Bellari calls the control....."Definition." It seems to my ears like there is a boost of lower mids and a scoop of upper mids when the Exciter is engaged, resulting in what I feel is a nice, "chewy" sound, with a pronounced low end presence, especially with the compressor engaged. As such, it sounds nice on guitar for specialized uses. But in line with what the manufacturer states, I am selling this unit so that someone can actually use it on vocals and acoustic guitar, which is what they feel this unit does best with. And I agree!
