Primitive Baker's Cabinet Pie Safe Dough Box Advertising Bolivar Ohio - $995 - (Central, SC)
Up for sale is a great early primitive cupboard. I'm not exactly sure if you would refer to it as a pie safe, dough box, baker's cabinet, or combination of all 3. This is a very ornate and unusual early cupboard. It was manufactured by Parks & Co. in Bolivar, Ohio. Labeled as "The Welcome", it may have been used in a hotel or other type of serving environment. Cupboard is all original and in excellent condition for its age. Please review all photos. Measures 35" wide by 15" deep by 35" high. The sides and back are painted metal. I'm not sure the type of wood, although it may be walnut or chestnut. Two separate doors on the front that open down. It has 3 small casters on the bottom so that it can be rolled around.
