For sale is a vintage American Legion License Plate topper emblem badge or ornament. This is an original all copper emblem Patented in 1919, with an eye catching enameled blue ring that would be it's Motto for the next 100 years.This identifiers meant it was like a first edition book. It also said it was intended for WW1, and Border wars.../ Spanish American War Veterans. These remained popular through WW2, and still today in to Gulf War Veterans and Family. This was for your car, not a grave marker.I have seen many of these and this is in better condition than any I have seen.A very small nick under the E and discoloring of copper,light sign of use / age on copper .The newer versions were brass and copper, this is all copper.Made by the FOX Co.PAT DEC 1919 A very nice collectors item or gift for a Veteran.Please look at the photos for condition and ask any questions you might have. They don't get more original than this.
