vintage Watercolor Painting on paper signed by the artist, 'Tillie Mendelowitz' on the painting and on the matte -- this is dated 1940 and titled 'Sloan's Landing' on the matte -- I am guessing this was at Sloan's Lake Park just outside of Denver, Colorado -- wonderful mid day scene of boats lazily floating by, while people enjoy their day at the park: looks like a concession stand behind the fence by the shore -- the painting measures about 14 1/2 by 20 in. // the frame measures 24 1/2 by 28 1/2 in. -- -- can find only passing references to Ms. Tillie Mendelowitz, married name: Garten (b. 1909; d. 2001) - resided in Scottsdale, Arizona - references in several Arizona Newspapers to her exhibiting at local Art shows in the 1950s -- -- light wear to the painting//frame is a bit dusty with some scuffing wear -- backing paper has some tearing/tape and a little paint -- Free Local pick-up is an option.
