Antique Buggy Carriage Lantern Light with rear facing Red Lens Cold Blast - $54 - (Morehead, KY)
I have for your consideration an antique buggy carriage lantern in working condition. The lantern is marked No. 175 ROAD on the front of body of lantern. The globe is marked RAYO PONY COLD BLAST MADE IN THE USA. I think this globe maybe a newer globe. The lantern has an original red lens that can be seen by drivers behind when lantern is lit. The red lens measures 3 1/8 inches in diameter and has several hairline cracks and chips. Behind the burner on the body it is marked with "COLD BLAST MADE IN U.S.A." Below the spring clip it is marked with " PAT AUG 1 1911". Body of lantern is in nice condition with just a few tiny dings and minor paint loss. Lantern displays nicely.
