This sale is for a Sony PS-11 Direct Drive Turntable in excellent working order and condition. Probably one of the prettiest Turntables made by Sony. The Plinth is clean and the lid is Brand New and a $175.00 Value. New silicone damper grease was applied to the arm lift mechanism to ensure smooth tone arm action. All functions were tested and speeds verified, RCA leads are good. The unit comes with the original stylus brush and a 45 rpm adapter. The cartridge is Audio Technica. While the old stylus is functional it is recommended that a new stylus be installed. This is one of Sony's higher end turntables with Manual start and auto return. WHY SERVICE YOUR TURNTABLE: You might say "what's the problem it works perfectly". Think of it like driving your car without changing the oil for 40 years. Oils and greases break down over time leaving those moving parts and bearings at risk of wearing out, resulting in possible catastrophic failure. All those parts need to have the oils and greases replenished and parts need to be closely inspected and replaced if damaged.
