He was a WWII fighter pilot that became a lifelong firefighter after the service. For his birthday, the family custom ordered him the model he wanted in this custom solid Red finish, which they referred to as 'Fire Engine Red'. Single-cut hollow body with top and back binding. Multi-ply black guard. Set neck construction. Bound Rosewood board with dot inlays. Single pickup with volume and tone controls. Nickel hardware. 100% original with no mods, breaks, or repairs. Guitar has some basic marks, but is in very nice condition for its age. A beautiful custom color vintage Gibson with a great lineage.
