You are bidding on the holy grail of Rick Ankiel game used items.  Listed is THE ACTUAL fielding glove Rick used during the 1999 season when he made his Major League debut with the St Louis Cardinals.  This glove can be photo-matched with nearly all of his 1999 rookie cards. I met Rick in summer of 2015 to present him this glove and have him confirm that it was indeed the glove he used during the 1999 season and MLB debut.  He immediately recognized the glove, examined it, tried it on, etc.  Rick confirmed this was his 1999 season and debut glove, stating this was the ONLY glove he ever used with the red embroidered stitched signature on the glove.  After the 1999 season, he used a similar style glove with his name embroidered in white.  Rick personally signed the glove and inscribed "my rookie glove" with his signature. As mentioned, this glove can be photo matched with his MLB debut in 1999 against the Montreal Expos, and various other games and rookie cards from 1999.  Aside from the photo-matches, Rick himself has worn, examined, inspected, and confirmed the authenticity of this glove (pictured).   Every player goes through numerous jerseys, bats, helmets, etc. each season, but an authentic, game-used fielding glove are much more personal to the player.  Rarely do fielding gloves leave a player's personal collection and into the open market.  Not only is this an actual game used fielding glove from Rick Ankiel, but it is the actual glove from his MLB debut, and the glove seen in nearly all of his 1999 rookie cards.  This glove is hammered with use and was clearly used for an entire season, if not longer.   Rick's baseball career was one of the most intriguing in history and will forever be remembered in Cardinals and baseball lore.  He and Babe Ruth are the only two players ever to record 20+ wins as a pitcher and 20 home runs in their career.   Bid with confidence as I have 100% feedback .
