Excellent Lionel Original Prewar Blue Comet Set #396E 1931. Includes #400E Loco in two-tone blue with brass trim, #400T tender in two-tone blue with brass trim, #421 Westphal #420 Faye, and #422 Tempel all in two-tone blue with brass trim. This set is the earlier version with die-cast journals. This set is all original and in excellent condition. There are hardly any scratches at all, with some slight box rub to the roof of the Westphal, and one slight dent to one of the brass domes on the loco's roof. The loco's air tanks are all original and not cracking at all, and the wheels are all original, and the loco runs great. The interiors of the cars are all complete and all hand grabs on all cars are intact. The pictures do not do this set justice, as it is truly a spectacular set. It is a true matching original set.
