VINTAGE HAND CARVED HEDIAO Sampan With Shutters That Open/ Many Passengers CHINA - $650 - (Huntsville, AL)

CARVED HEDIAO NUT. A Chinese Hediao nut carved & pierced as a sampan & stand, the underside of the vessel carved with lines of poetry, & with opening shutters & several passengers. The stand being one half of a nut, carved with flowers & leaves. Length 1.75 inches or 4.4 centimeters -- height on stand 1 1/8 inch or 2.7 cm. I have a video opening the shutters - if you want to see them work, contact me and I will send it. This item was bought at an estate sale filled with asian antiques. Please see pictures.
