Rare WBZ-TV 4 June 9, 1948 8mm Sign On Sound Film 7" Reel Inaugural Program - $700 - (Marstons Mills, MA)

This is a rare 8mm sound film of the inaugural broadcast June 9, 1948 6:30 PM. Description is as follows 6:30 P.M.-WBZ-TV Inaugural program (featuring remarks from, among others, Archbishop, later Cardinal, Richard Cushing; Rabbi Joshua Leibman, Boston mayor James-Michael Curley, and Westinghouse Radio Stations, Inc. president Walter Evans. The Globe of June 9th noted that this program had been filmed in advance because WBZ officials didn’t know exactly when the station would go on the air, so to make it more convenient for the above-named officials, the remarks were filmed). Film is in excellent condition. First image I believe is if Cardinal Cushing. I am unable to show the film as I have no projector or viewer. Film is on a 7" reel. Shipping is free in the US & calculated worldwide.
