1983 Alvarez Yair DY75 Herringbone flat top acoustic guitar - all original and in excellent condition - with original brown-lined Alvarez hardshell case, built by Kazou Yairi. These Yairi guitars are killer bargains - absolute martinkillers - and this DY75 is no different. This Yairi features a solid spruce top, solid rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony board, and lovely Herringbone binding and inlay around the sound hole and along the neck. This is a very high end flattop in the spirit of a d28, and the workmanship is wonderful. She is has great tone and projection - and excellent articulation due to the rosewood and the ebony board. Frets are in great shape - lots of life - and we would describe the action as medium. With a good setup and fresh strings - the action can come down a bit, if desired. Condition-wise, we are saying 7.5 out of 10 due to scratches and light dings, wear around the bottom of the sound hole from actual PLAYING, and some divots to the frets from playing chords - mostly on the first 7 frets. Comes with the original Alvy molded hardshell case. This is a wonderful player and a truly beautiful and beautifully made instrument. Thanks.
