An original painting of the Victorian Cliff House of San Francisco built by Adolph Sutro at the end of the nineteenth century. This painting probably dates from the early 1900's. The painting portrays a picturesque view as seen from Ocean Beach which also depicts Seal Rock on the left side of the painting and visitors to the beach walking along the shore. Framed in what appears to be it's original frame. The signature initials A.L. appear in the lower right. See photo.Frame measurements are approximately 13.5 inches by 18 inches. The canvas measures approximately 13.5 inches by 9.75 inches. Regarding condition the the surface of the painting has an accumulation of surface dirt and some very tine white dots and one tiny vertical line. See photos. Original canvas.
