Civil War-Era Brass Henry Cartridge Case Civil War-era cartridge case is brass and engraved with : "Patented Jan. 27,1863" and "Reissued Apl 14, 63". The brass case still has a tight spring hinge that closes it securely.  It measures 4 5/8" across, 3 1/2" tall, and 2 3/8" wide.  There is some minor surface wear and dents but all-in-all in great condition.   GUARANTEED - this piece is guaranteed to be an authentic Civil War-era cartridge case.   llcgreen
