There are a few wear marks on the spine and back cover; other than that, this cruise book is in very good condition. All pages are intact, with no creases or rips. This book documents a U.S. aircraft carrier at war. The AMERICA was one of four U.S. carriers in the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm. The ship had very short notice in preparing for the Desert Storm cruise, and the cruise book had to be made in very little time. As such, there are no endless rows of crew mug shots; there was no time to prepare a standard cruise book. This cruise book is very unique in that respect. Instead of mug shots, the book is mainly full of great photos, including many nice aerial shots, and colorful art works that are not usually seen in cruise books. The book concludes with many great photos of the ship's triumphant visit to NYC after the war. (12x9.5x1.5, 508 pages)
