Vtg or Antique 35 3/4" Wooden Baby Cradle-Spindle Sides & Ends-28" Rockers - $95 - (Washington, GA)
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Offered is this wooden cradle with seven spindles on each side and three on each end. I don't know what kind of wood it is made from-possibly oak?. The cradle has notches for three boards to be used as a bottom for the base for the mattress, but the boards are missing. I don't know who made it or when but it certainly looks old enough to be called vintage if not antique. The cradle is approx. 35 3/4" long and 22 1/2" high to the top of the corner posts. It is about 28" wide across the rockers and about 19 1/2" wide across the top. The bottom opening is approx. 33 3/4" x 14 3/4". Overall, it is in good condition. The finish is a bit rough but good if looking for a rustic look. There is some wood missing from the inside of one of the corners (see last photo) and some white paint on one of the sides (see next-to-last photo).
