Studer A-80 16 Track Head Stack New - $4,000 - (Burbank, CA)

This is a new and unused 16-track head block for a Studer A-80. It was purchased by Sound Design Music from Studer’s Tokyo office in 1997 for a George Harrison Live Tour of Japan. The original plan was to record analog (2 x 24-tracks and 2 x 16-tracks), but it was changed to digital (2 x 3348). This head stack has been stored by Sound Design (one owner) in it’s original carton since then.
