On my Hickok TV-7 tester the bias setting for this tube to strike is between 33 and 43. These tubes strike at 37 and 39. They read 58 and 58 respectively, after reaching the strike threshold. A reading of 40 would represent the minimum recommended value. These new-old-stock RCA tubes are from the same 1945 USA military production. Both have the U.S. Signal Corps SC-278A on the base. The 2050 is a xenon gas tetrode thyratron. The filament is 6.3-V, 600 mA. The tube is rated at 1.3-kV PIV, 100 mA. The 2050 is used as a rectifier in high sensitivity control circuits. Many brands of jukeboxes use this tube type.
