This is a 1927 wheel from the S S Imperial Windsor . The SS Windsor a tanker that served the Great Lakes Ports until 1974 when it collided with the Henry Stienbrenner off Point Pelee and received damages and injuriesto crew ,This 72 inch wheel was under wraps on the stern of the ship and would only be used in case controls from forward pilot house were damaged .
