1838 Sterling Silver Pocket Watch **179 Year Old Watch!****Dated May 1st, 1838** For your consideration is an amazing estate find! Featuring a very old antique Victorian era large 18s sterling silver pocket watch with a beautiful ivory dial, gold tone hand markers, and solid sterling silver case. The case features a unique mesh engraving with an open face design. This is a key wind pocket watch. Engraved inside: "Presented to Rich Hodson by his Mother May 1st 1838" This pocket watch is in great condition for its age: crystal is intact, case opens and snaps shut, dial shows some wear at the 6 & 7 markers, hands are fixed securely, case has normal surface wear, bale intact. I do not have a key to wind this watch to test it and I am not a pocket watch expert. It is in overall great antique condition.
