ANTIQUE VICTORIAN GOLD GILT PINCHBECK ROCK CRYSTALWATCH FOB1-3/8" x 1-1/8" x 1" ~ 19.7gLovely heavy and ornate c.1800's authentic Pinchbeck watch key fob has been electronically tested (ElvaX Spectrometer) and is guaranteed authentic Pinchbeck (a gold, zinc & copper alloy invented in the 18th century by London clockmaker, Christopher Pinchbeck, as a less expensive but convincing substitute for real gold). The fob is plated with a heavy gold wash (gilding), which shows up on the report as comprising 15% of the metal content. I will send a copy of the report to the auction winner. The rock crystal is in very good condition with no damage noted. Light surface wear as expected with age/use. Can be worn as a pendant or used as a pocket watch fob. As-found condition.
