RARE 23" Cafe Au Lait Brown Haired Antique China Doll Headband Spill Curls ears - $595 - (Lenexa, KS)
Rare German "Cafe Au Lait" colored Hair China doll with molded headband, spill curls and exposed ears! She measures about 23" tall. Her overclothes appear to be just vintage (not antique) but they are stunning. Her underdress appears that they are antique. She has two pinned notes to her skirt. One says that she has an older body. I don't think that it is nearly as old as the head, though. She has mitten hands covered in lace gloves. Her head and plate measures just about 6." It is free of cracks and chips. There is some rubbing to the paint on her curls. Some original firing dots on her shoulderplate and some small white dots on her cheeks. I think these may be original flaws but I'm not sure. She is a very rare doll and has the unusual hair color, style, and head band going for her! Plus, she is of good size!
