It is used extensively in the examination of semiconductor wafers, chips and die and for metallurgical and materials cross-sectional analysis for materials properties and failure analysis. On auction, is the Outfit I package that includes: The Wild M450 Epimakroskop optics carrier with built-in 6v/20W coaxial halogen illuminator, maintenance-free drive housing, 1:5 Epizoom objective, 30 degree inclined binocular tube, and 10x/21 eyepieces. Features of the Wild M450 include: -The large free working distance of the Epimakroskop (35mm at all magnifications) enables the specimen to be readily manipulated during observations. -The high resolution (up to 690 line pairs/mm) means that features down to 0.002 mm can be seen. This is due to the high maximum aperture (0.23) and excellent optical contrast transfer characteristics of the zoom system, developed specifically for this instrument by the world-renown Wild Heerbrugg factory in Switzerland. This specialized macro zoom lens also includes a rotatable 1/4 wave compensator plate for effective reflection control when observing specular specimens. -The zoom range is 1:5. The basic total magnification range obtained with the 10x/21 widefield eyepieces (included) is 16x – 80x, designed for measuring and counting. -The built-in iris disaphragm of the Epimakroskop enables the depth of field to be matched to the topography of the specimen.
