Antique Knitting Needle Sheaths, Ends, Double Ended Needle, Little Boots, c.1880 - $165 - (Powhatan, VA)

This is a sweet pair of knitting needle sheaths in the form of a pair of tiny little black painted metal boots with metal cuffs, linked together with cord. The little boots are just 7/8" long. Included is a 6 3/4" steel double ended needle. In the 19th century knitting needles were often double ended and to save your work from falling off the needles when stored, needle sheaths were used. The metal shows wear overall.
