VERY NICE LARGE MORO KAMPILAN SWORD 19TH CENTURY - $1,850 - (Oklahoma City, OK)
Exquisite in every detail, this is an outstanding example of a beautifully made Moro Kampilan Chief's Sword that dates from the mid to late 19th Century. It is mounted with an impressive, massive blade that measures 33 1/4 inches in length. The blade has survived in excellent condition and is fabulously detailed with lovely cut-out work, brass dot inlay and uniform notches on its spine just next to the guard. It wears a gorgeous exotic carved wooden pommel that is accentuated with a beautifully hammered detailed silver hilt and is wonderfully enhanced with flowing texture. The simple wooden scabbard wears very simple detailed carving near its tip and is in very good serviceable condition. Overall the Sword measures 47 1/2 inches in length.
