ANTIQUE WORK/PLAY ADVERTISING 45" Long APPROX 100 Yrs OLD BUCKBOARD CHILD WAGON - $695 - (Spring Lake, MI)
A Social History of the Store Bought Loaf, by Aaron Bobrow-Strain, I found out that Pittsburgh was the home of one of the first white bread manufacturer’s in the country. The Ward Baking company was located between 31st and 32nd Street on Liberty Avenue and made Mother’s Bread along with TipTop, the squishy white loaves that were all the rage in the early 1900s. Also I Found Shaffer Stores Company, Inc.: The company was first established in 1898, when the business was located at Seventh Avenue and Seventh Street, a single store, and doing only a retail grocery business. The offices were located in Altoona, Pennsylvania. This wagon is a beauty and in its original red painted condition just the way you would hope to find it with most of the lettering and stenciling in tip top condition. It measures 36" long by 16" wide by 16" tall with the bed being 4" deep. The wooden wheels are 9 1/2" in diameter and the length of the handle is 31".See all the pics for its exact condition.
