This auction is for a very rare and special 1930's A.C. Gilbert (USA) tin litho wind-up (front crank) U.S. Mail truck with seated driver. This toy has such a great look with nice color and lithography. Good luck finding another one because they simply don't come up for sale often! The toy is made of lithographed tin. It is a yellow van truck with black roof and red spoke wheels. There is a seated driver with good detail. The truck works with a spring barrel mechanism which works well. Also, the front wheel can be adjusted manually so that it can either go straight or in a circle. The truck measures 8 inches long. Our photos show the condition, which is quite good for its age.
